In His image

God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him, male and female He created them. Genesis 1:27 NKJV

To imagine something is to form a picture in your mind of what things look like.  In other words – to get the picture..

When we want to see what we look like, we look in a mirror or even at our reflection in the water.  The only problem is that the picture that looks back to us, is not the whole truth.

We all know that the enemy is the liar, but somehow we tend to believe the lies instantly rather than to identify the source of what has been spoken.

I don’t know about you, but when I know someone tends to lie, I intentionally choose to discern the spirit behind what is said.  Is it the truth or a lie? Is it speaking life or death?

The enemy will always shift the blame and never take responsibility.

He only act with three things in mind, namely: to steal, to kill and to destroy.  On the contrary God came so that we may have life, and that more abundantly. (See John 10:10).

Therefore I choose to rather believe God’s truth than to meditate on the lies of the king of lies himself.

How amazing is it that God also had a specific image in mind when He created us?  He created us in His image!

The moment we realize that we are created in God’s image, with His plans and will in mind, everything changes from our perspective of our lives towards His idea and purpose for our lives. It is all part of dying to self and surrendering all to God.

For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.  I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are Your works, and my soul knows very well.- Psalm 139: 13-14 NKJV
