free indeed

He opens doors and removes chains

Acts 16:25-26  (NKJV)  But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.  Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken;  and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.

If we are totally honest, we have to admit that everyone is/has been bound by some kind of bondage.

Some of us are imprisoned by rejection, others might be bound by lust or many kinds of addictions.  Then there are those who are held captive by insecurities, jealousy, pride, might and power,  and then there are those  who are held captive by the spirit of mammon (money).

What ever the thing is that keeps you bound in slavery, remember there is always a way out.

Keep on praying, keep on praising God and trusting Him for the breakthrough.  He is the way maker.   On your own it isn’t possible, but through Him, every thing is possible.

Isaiah 61:1-2  (NJKV) The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor;  He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives.  And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;  to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God;  to comfort all who mourn.

Our foundation is Christ who paid the full price for us, so that we can be free.

John 8:36 (NKJV)  Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

What a privilege to proclaim our freedom out loud!
