In Maart vier ons Wêreld bid-dag vir vroue, en dit herinner my aan die kragtige werking van gebed. God se hart is nie net dat ons “van” Hom sal praat nie, maar ook “met” Hom sal praat.

Pray without ceasing.

1 Thessalonians 5:17

Gebed moet die kern vorm van ons bestaan – kompleet soos om asem te haal. Sy oor is nooit te doof om te hoor of Sy arm te kort om uit te steek nie.

Die arm van die Here is nie te kort om te help nie en sy oor is nie te doof om te hoor nie. Dit is julle oortredinge wat skeiding gebring het tussen julle en julle God, dit is julle sondes wat maak dat Hy Hom nie aan julle steur nie en nie na julle wil luister nie.
