We all want a foundation, something we can trust and depend on.
A foundation is the “firm base” on which something rests.
As humans, we tend to find our rest/foundation in worldly things like approval of people and the feeling that you belong.
We all know the story of the two men building houses. The one on the beach, and the other on a firm rock. The rain came, the “beach builder’s” house crashed but the “rock builder’s” house stood firm.
We need to find our rest in God, for He is the Rock we can trust. He will never give up on or ever forsake us. He protects and saves.
The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.
