Building on the foundation

Matthew 28:19-20 NIV

19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

When Jesus was speaking these words, He wasn’t just speaking to His disciples. No! He was actually speaking to all of us as believers!

Jesus is our true Rock and foundation.

Unfortunately a foundation has only value when something is build on it.

We need to become a generation of faith, building with living stones. We need to build up a God-fearing nation for His Kingdom sake.

Building takes time, effort, patience, endurance, and trust. Yes…trust! Trust in Christ, as He is the “project manager” Who is building His house. We are only His co-workers, working with willing hearts, serving unto Him.

A house without a solid foundation can not stand.  When you build a house without following the instruction or blue print plan from the project manager (in this case “Christ”) it will surely come to a fall.  God will never share His glory.

What are you building?

For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
