In Matthew 14:22-33 we read about Jesus walking on water, and then He calls Peter to walk towards Him…
The interesting thing is that the disciples feared the stormy waters, but Jesus walked on the water – He walked exactly on what they feared!
While Peter was keeping his eyes on Jesus, he walked on the water (his fears), but the moment he looked down at the waters (at his fears), he sank.
It’s easy to judge him, and to call him doubtful, but how many times do we do exactly the same? We focus on what we fear and get consumed in the world we live in as well as with our own diverse fears.
All that we should do, is to keep our chin up and focus intentionally our eyes on Jesus! Only then we will be able to walk on our fears.
I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With Him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
