but the gift of God is eternal life
in Christ Jesus our Lord.

No one to trust?

To trust someone is most surely one of the most difficult things to do these days.

We meet a lot of people saying: “trust me”, but not every one is trustworthy.

In the old days, a man’s word was his honour, but unfortunately it is not necessarily the case any more.  Even the Bible warns us about this.

Psalm 118:8 (NKJV)
It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

You see, all man’s ways are wicked and routed in sin, so chances are good that people might disappoint you.

God is the one we can put our trust in. He is forever faithful.  He will never fail you and will always guide you.  He is more than able… and willing.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;  in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the [a]ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he [b]meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the [c]rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so, But are like the chaff which the wind drives away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish.
