Overcoming the world.

Trials

John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Jesus is saying to His disciples that they will face trouble; no doubt about that!

He is giving them also the reassurance that He has already overcome everything on their behalf.

This reassurance was not just meant for His disciples, because God’s Word is still the only truth that we can hold on to.

As a believer in Christ , Jesus Himself lives inside of you.  In other words the victory is already ours, because Jesus overcame all troubles, trials, and tribulations this world can offer.
