When an artist is making an artwork, he/she would put something in the artwork to resemble themselves, so that when someone is looking at the artwork, they will recognize something of the artist.
In Genesis we read of the greatest artist of all – God. He created the whole universe by using His Word. He painted the sky with mesmerizing colours – so amazing that it changes by the minute!
God created each one of us. Therefore He has put something of Himself in us so that everyone can recognize Him (the artist) in us!
So God created mankind in His own image,
in the image of God He created them;
male and female He created them.
Genesis 1:27 NIV
We are created beautifully in His image.
