Waiting on God

Waiting can be a real pain. It gets frustrating to wait for something you have no control over.

Sometimes we get impatient like Abraham when God promised him a son, so we make our own plans as Abraham did in Genesis 16.

We get impatient because according to US, God is taking too long and “don’t know what He’s doing”. We have our own plans of how things are supposed to play out, but we are wrong and we know it.

The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.

Lamentations 3:25-26 NKJV

It is important to remember when we go through trials, that God will never give up on us. He is constant. He has already walked the road we still have to walk!

God has perfect timing, even though sometimes we might think otherwise.

It is vital that we start trusting God and His timing, and we have to willfully seek Him.

Just by sitting back, relaxing and waiting for God to do everything isn’t going to cause anything to happen. We have to start taking action and seek His will and do what He wants us to do at the right appointed time.

God is never late, but generally He isn’t early either – Joyce Meyer

We have to put our trust and hope in God alone, and wait upon Him. If we put our trust in our own strength, we will get worn out, because God created us to depend on Him
