God created us to desire two things, namely love and approval.
We tend to try and earn approval from the world, but what we don’t always realize, is that we have been approved (received) by Jesus already.
Therefore receive one another, just as Christ received us, to the glory of God.
Romans 15:7
Because of the lies of the enemy, we tend to have this perception in our minds that His love has to be earned.
We sometimes even believe the lie that when we sin, we aren’t loved anymore and can’t be forgiven. Well all these above are only attacks from the enemy to discourage and condemn us.
Romans 8:39 God says that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ.
A practical example is in Genesis 3 when Adam and Eve sinned and realized they were naked (v. 10), but God didn’t embarrass them; on the contrary He clothed them (v.21).
Physically He clothed them with clothes and spiritually with grace, forgiveness and above all His unfailing love. What a privilege!
