Jesus commanded His disciples to go and proclaim the good news, the news of salvation through Christ.
And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!” – Romans 10:15 (NKJV)
These disciples had to travel through rough terrain to proclaim this message. They did it with a humble and joyful heart, without complaining.
This made me think: “Would I have been willing to cross mountains wearing sandals day after day?” Just imagine all the blisters and bruises!
Yet , it is referred to as being beautiful!
After all Jesus was the One who washed His disciples’ feet. He prepared them for their calling.
I guess the question is: “Are you willing to walk that road; are you really the hands and feet of Christ Jesus?”
