For the wages of sin is death,
but the gift of God is eternal life
in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Someone really cares

Trust

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God (set aside self-righteous pride), so that He may exalt you (to a place of honor in His service) at the appropriate time, casting all your care (all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all) on Him, for He cares about you (with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully). 1 Pet 5:6-7

Even though everyone of us care deeply for someone or something, we can’t fully take care of it.  This is where dependence on God comes in; realizing that we need Him, humbling ourselves by surrendering it to Him, trusting Him with it, and resting in His faithfulness because even though we care, He cares so much more!

We are limited, but God is the God of no limitations.  What a privilege to surrender to the One who is more than able, and willing.

1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the [a]ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he [b]meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the [c]rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so, But are like the chaff which the wind drives away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish.
