Dr. Des Sinclair once said, “The wise learn from his own mistakes. The wiser learns from the wise’s mistakes.”
Various mistakes in our lives would not have happened if we did just listen to the advice given by others.
It is also vital to realize which advice is good advice – you can’t listen to EVERYONE! Just listen to those who care for you and will tell you the things you don’t want to hear, but need to hear.
Listen to counsel and receive instruction, that you may be wise in your latter days.
Proverbs 19:20
Choose to listen, receive and then act. Never act when not in full self-control and at a sound mind.
