but the gift of God is eternal life
in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Change Satisfaction

change

God’s goal is always to bring change and growth. The challenge with this is that it does not correlate with human nature. We don’t like change.

We often are too satisfied with where we are in our lives, our limited biblical knowledge, the occasional biblical interaction, and the fact that our marriage or relationships are “okay” or that we are just living a comfortable life.

God calls us for so much more than just being satisfied. Because we are satisfied, we are not eagerly searching for growth in God.

We don’t go to the doctor when we are feeling perfectly fine. In the same way, we are satisfied and not looking to grow or improve.

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV

God calls us to search Him and He will bring change in our lives, transforming us and making us grow from glory to glory.

1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the [a]ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he [b]meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the [c]rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so, But are like the chaff which the wind drives away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish.
