Fishermen often catch their fish with nets. The fish can not escape these nets because they are not strong enough.
Spiders are also very similar. They make webs to catch their prey in when it least expects it.
We are very much like these fish and prey.
It happens sometimes that we are caught in some sort of net in our lives – whether it is difficult circumstances that we don’t know how to escape from, or traps the enemy set for us that we don’t even know about.
Pull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me, for You are my strength.
Psalm 31:4 NKJV
In our own strength, we can’t escape these situations because we don’t have sustainable strength.
Luckily, we have God. He can pull us out of any metaphorical net and will give us strength.
