Often, we fall for the attack of fear. We find ourselves worrying about our lives.
In 1 Samuel 21 we read of when David had to flee from Saul for his life. While fleeing to Gath, he wrote Psalm 56. In this psalm, he shows amazing trust in God.
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?
Psalm 56:3-4 NIV
David proclaims that he will choose to trust God instead of being afraid. He deliberately chooses faith over fear.
We should choose this daily and surrender to God and His protection and providence.
