We all face trials.. but we have to choose joy instead of fear.
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
James 1:2-5 ESV
The Word does not say that we won’t face any trials, but we should be joyful even when going through them because our faith will be strengthened and we will produce fruit to prove it.
Going through these trials is a lonely road, but that only takes you to a point where God proves His presence. He will never leave you and He has never left you.
In verse 5 we read that if we need wisdom when going through these trials, we can ask Him.
We all go through new seasons in our lives, and it may sometimes be terrifying. But God says in His Word that we don’t have to fear.
Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.
Isaiah 43:1-2
So whatever you face, know that God is with you and you don’t have to fear. He will lead you and you won’t be burned but transformed.
