When getting up early in the morning to pray and spend time with the Lord is sacrificing snuggling up to the warm blankets and can often be a great mental battle.
Spending time with God before all the notifications, distractions, and issues of the world overflows your mind, will change your mind’s capacity for the worldly things as God will be able to give you peace and wisdom.
Prayer does not take time, but it saves time.
When you are spending time with God daily, He will give you wisdom for each day. This will save time when you would normally worry and try to figure out how to handle certain things.
But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
Matthew 6:6 ESV
Sacrifice does not start when waking up, it starts the night before – spending time until late at night watching Netflix or scrolling on your phone, and rather going to sleep earlier to spend time with the Lord in the morning.
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
Romans 12:1 ESV
Choose to set aside all distractions like your phone while spending time with God, read out of your physical Bible and write down what God is speaking to you and meditate on that.
Spending just 10 minutes in God’s presence before starting your day will change your life.
Nobody ever said that they regretted praying.
