Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! Psalm 46:10 NKJV
Do you realize that faith is an action? That means that to be still, is an action too.
To “be still” actually means that we need to quiet our minds, reasoning and understanding. It means to intentionally quiet yourself, to distance you from all things that is distancing you from God, in order that you can focus on His truth.
To “be still” means to meditate on God’s Word, proclaiming it, speaking it, believing it, and then to go into His rest, knowing that none of His Word will ever turn void, but that it will accomplish for what it has been send for.
Speaking His Word, praying it and proclaiming it out loud, is a active tool in building our faith in His ability and faithfulness towards us.
God is not a man that He can lie. He is fully committed to us, to His Word and to His promises for us.
What a privilege to be still, knowing He’s got our back!
May the peace that surpasses all understanding, guards our hearts and minds through Jesus Christ as we learn to grow in being still and trusting Him.
