but the gift of God is eternal life

True Humbleness

waarheid

A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, Loving favor rather than silver and gold. By humility and the fear of the LORD Are riches and honor and life.

Proverbs 22:1, 4

Most people think that if you are humble, you can’t be confident which is a total lie.

It is vital not to boast in your own talents, needs and abilities, but you should be confident in your identity.

We have an amazing identity because Christ died on the cross – giving us a new identity in Him.

CS Lewis once said, “Being humble doesn’t mean to think less of yourself, but to think of yourself less.”

It is so true! Be confident in who you are, but always think of others’ needs and feelings before thinking of your own desires.

1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the [a]ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he [b]meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the [c]rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so, But are like the chaff which the wind drives away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish.
