In Matthew 13 we read about the parable of the seed sower and the people who hear God’s Word and don’t do anything about it.
We always talk about “those people”. All we actually do is judge others by having spiritual arrogance, which means God will have to humble us.
But it’s time to put the magnifying glass on ourselves.
How often when you read the bible or listen to teachings, does it just go over your head and doesn’t penetrate your heart?
When you read out of the Word, meditate on it and allow it to become a revelation. That is when it penetrates your heart!
Very truly I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life. Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.
John 5.24-25
